PROMEFA Family Improvement Program

Hogares Bambi Bogotá was founded in 1988 by the Spillmann Family from Switzerland with a mission to provide comprehensive protection and a better beginning for abandoned, homeless, and at-risk children up to six years old. The foundation has grown to serve nearly 150 children annually, becoming a model for integrative early childhood services through effective partnerships with the public sector.

One of its key initiatives, the PROMEFA Program, focuses on supporting families in the lowest economic strata of the population. This one-year program, designed for up to 70 families, offers vocational training, job placements, and personal development workshops led by a psychologist to help address unresolved issues and traumas. While parents participate in these workshops, their children aged 0-4 are cared for at a drop-in center. The program aims to improve the psychosocial and economic conditions of families, primarily women who are heads of households, empowering them to create a safe and loving environment for their children. Continued funding is essential to maintain and expand this vital program over the next 12 months.

Support Hogares Bambi’s PROMEFA Program

Your donation will ensure that vulnerable families continue to receive essential support and guidance by helping to fund a new program director. This will allow the program to operate at full capacity, empowering families to build brighter, more stable futures.

PROMEFA Family Improvement Program Funding Needed: $12,000 Timeline: 12 months Project Overview: To urgently fund the salary of a new program director for the PROMEFA Program. With 22 families currently enrolled and the capacity to support over 70, the program requires a new director to maintain operations while the current director is on paid medical leave. Securing this funding is essential to continue providing vital support and services to these vulnerable families.
